Kris McElhinney is a graduate of National University of Ireland, University College Cork (UCC), where he a Honours Degree Arts in the study of Politics and History. He later achieved a Masters in Business at Honours level in the Management Information Systems and Managerial Accounting Systems.
Since 2009 he has been working with a leading public sector software development house. Prior to this Kris was elected Southern Area Officer of the Irish National Student body – USI (June 2008). As Southern Area Officer, Kris had responsibility for organising campaigns and supporting the work of the member Colleges in the South of Ireland. This followed full time and voluntary positions within his own Students’ Union including President (FT), Publications & Communications Officer (FT), Media Development Officer (V) and President of the Societies Guild/ Societies Officer (V). During his time as a student he was heavily involved with various Politcal/Debating societies, student activities and the UCC Express (newspaper)
